1994 RAM 1500 Problems

Hope this group can help...i did some searching & didn't find too many specifics...so...

I have a 1994 RAM 1500 2WD with a couple "issues"...

I hit the brake pedal once...it goes to the floor and the ABS and BRAKE lights on the dash come on. I hit the pedal a second time, and i've got good solid pedal.

My tranny shifts "normal" if i'm giving it a good, hard accelleration. If not, and i'm taking it nice-and-easy, it "hangs" going from 2nd to 3rd...unless I rev it to about 2500RPM and then "let off"...it then drops into 3rd & OD and cruises just fine.

Any suggestions/fixes?

Thanks

For the tranny: Have you had the linkage tightened? Mine was a little loose once and when i tighten it the shifts seemed alot smoother. I would check that out. Its on the driver side of the tranny pan if you didnt know already. Kinda gotta get up in there to get it too.

Might have a leaky brake cylinder on one of the wheels. Fluid is getting out somewhere.

Would that be consistant with having a full pedal after "going to the floor"?

Also...is there a way to disable the ABS if that is the problem?
