1994 RAM 1500 Problems
Hope this group can help...i did some searching & didn't find too many specifics...so...
I have a 1994 RAM 1500 2WD with a couple "issues"... I hit the brake pedal once...it goes to the floor and the ABS and BRAKE lights on the dash come on. I hit the pedal a second time, and i've got good solid pedal. My tranny shifts "normal" if i'm giving it a good, hard accelleration. If not, and i'm taking it nice-and-easy, it "hangs" going from 2nd to 3rd...unless I rev it to about 2500RPM and then "let off"...it then drops into 3rd & OD and cruises just fine. Any suggestions/fixes? Thanks - Ray - |

For the tranny: Have you had the linkage tightened? Mine was a little loose once and when i tighten it the shifts seemed alot smoother. I would check that out. Its on the driver side of the tranny pan if you didnt know already. Kinda gotta get up in there to get it too.

Would that be consistant with having a full pedal after "going to the floor"? Also...is there a way to disable the ABS if that is the problem? |
