1998 Ram 1500 5.9L Slow Start

Last couple of days, I've noticed when I go to start my truck it takes about 5-8 seconds for the engine to finally start. It use to just start right up, It doesn't turn over slowly, it cranks at the normal speed, so i doubt battery or connection is the issue here. If anyone gots any advice on this, it be helpful. Not sure exactly where to start with this. Thanks

It sounds as if the ignition system is giving trouble. Coil maybe or the rotor. Or maybe the distributor cap. I would have it checked.

I hope you don't have what I am still fighting. My 1998 Ram 1500 5.2 does the same thing. Hard to start, cranks fine just takes longer to get the thing running. I also have an intermettent "Check Engine" light from time to time which is the P0300 ( Multiple missfire code). Here is a list of what I have had changed to date:

1. Cap, Rotor, Spark plug wires, spark plugs.
2. Ignition coil
3. Camshaft sensor
4. 2 ea fuel injectors (#4 and #8 cylinders)
5. Dealer changed the intake manifold gasket
6. Catylitic Converter
7. 2 ea O2 sensors
8. Complete fuel injector system flushing and cleaning
9. Gas Cap
10. ?
