1996 Dodge Ram Indy Pace Truck, not starting
We just picked up this straight and tidy little Indy truck today. We have had the truck for about 12 hours and when we went to start it tonight it wouldnt start. It started before. Non of the gauges or lights on the instrument panel come on.Everything else works on the truck except the instrument panel. This truck is needed for work on monday.
(5.9L Magnum) I have checked the fuses and the relays. Anyone with a response to this situation would greatly appreciated. Thnks in advance. |

I own a 1996 Indy as well and I had the same problem when my battery started to go. Hope that helps.

Re: 1996 Dodge Ram Indy Pace Truck, not starting
Im positive that the battery is not the problem. I tried boosting it and still nothing. Everything else works on the truck except the instrument panel. Something else is wrong with it, Its something electrical

Re: 1996 Dodge Ram Indy Pace Truck, not starting
Did the owner hook up the battery chager backwards?,the negative on the positive and the positive on the negative.Do not ever hook up jumper cables, jumper boxes and a battery charger backwards on an OBD II Chrysler products. It is an easy way to fry the ecm and Chrysler ecms cannot stand this

Re: 1996 Dodge Ram Indy Pace Truck, not starting
The guy who owned the truck before buys and sells cars, he bought this truck unaware that it had an aftermarket alarm system on it. The alarm system just decided to kick in that day. We removed the alarm system and the truck is ready for use.
