Best handling bikes on earth are usually the GP 125s, though they're not very stable over bumps. And then you have your pocketbikes, underpowered, low CG, limited cornerning clearance, but it turns fast at any speed.
RC51 is also pretty outdated by 2005-2006 standards, consider Ducati 999R to be one of the best handling v-twins currently, very stable as I've heard but not as flickable as inlines.

the buell xb12R handles really well too, my buddy has one. it may not be the fastest but it handles great

THe real bottom line is, it's the rider not the bike. THe TLR did NOT have the frame issues, the TLS did. THe RC51 was a bit better ballanced, but for the price you can get a TLR for, you can work the suspension, but on an exhaust or some wheels and still be under the RC51 price. But just get what you like, as the bike makes such a small percentage of difference compaired to the rider.
