system in an 04
I'm about to put a couple subs and an amp in my friends '04 malibu. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with any problems or suggestions for making the job go smoothly. I'm not changin the head unit, just going to put an RCA adapter in, so I'll need to get to the rear speakers obviously. I have an 02 cavy and it seems like the malibu's system is set up pretty similarly as far as the speaker locations and such. Any tips or help you could give would be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: system in an 04
I would check the radio to see if it has amp outputs (my 99 didn't), if not i would replace the headunit. Other than that wiring mine was very easy, I would suggest facing the subs toward the back of the car that seems to sound the best. With some of the other members I guess their trunks rattle very bad, you might want to get some Dynamat. Hope this helps

Re: system in an 04
i got my rca adapter for 9.99 at a local custom shop. that's the cheapest i've seen. most are 19.99. but even walmart has them. they are pretty popular.
