Nooo! I'm such an idiot!!!
Guess what? I melted the Merc! Fu@k!!! I decided to warm it up a bit before spraying, and overdone it! And I don't think I'll be able to restore it! And it was almost done! Boy does life suck! (I'm in a really unlucky/dark streak for the last 5 days). Damn! Damn! All this work! Stupid idiot! The body is twisted like a used toilet paper! The roof is in the same plane as the hood! Or at least where the hood should be! i'm really close to tears now. When it rains it really pours! I wish I had a camera so you all could witness my failure!
Note to everyone: never use any electric warmers on plastic models. Youll be just as sorry as I am! Over and out

Dan, be gentle! It was friggin' finished! I mean, all I needed to do is paint the body! It was finished! And now it is finished! Now I have 4 spare wheels and brake disks, and two seats (not sure if anything else is useable for any other project). Don't make fun of me! It's not a good feeling, trust me. Have you ever melted the body?

I'm so sorry. What were you heating it with? Do you mean a stove top? |

It was a really miniature version of electricalle heated bedsheet, like 50X30 cm that you use when ill to keep the back/chest warm. Don't ask...

Daniel, could you look for this kit at your hoby shop(s)? I'm willing to buy it. I feel like I owe a little debt to the Merc
http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?FUJ06135 Oh, and what's the difference between this kit and this one? http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?FUJ06213 I'm also thinking about sparing myself some headache and getting this http://www.hlj.com/cgi-local/hljpage.cgi?MCLDC-05

I have had a search, and nothing has come up!
We find Fujimi kits hard to get here, the Merc was something I saw at a show! Your best bet would be to use one of the Stateside guys, or order the kit from Japan. My cousin has done just that, he ordered a model of his Mitsubishi FTO. It will take a long time, I think the idea is you order it, forget about it and get a nice surprise one day! |

Yeah, I think I will order from japan. The only problem is that I don't have a credit card, and it will cost me more to transfer the money through the bank than the model... I could use some help on this one... Care to continue the conversation in private?
