Fast & Furious 2 Eclipse For Sale - Opinion

The Eclipse GTS actually used in the movie is on Ebay right now. What would a fair Best Offer be so the seller responds? It's an '03 Spyder and has only 300 original miles; total miles on the drive train. It was driven by Tyrese Gibson in 2Fast 2Furious and has provenance. $50k is the asking. I'd love to own an actual car used in the F&F movies but don't know how to evaluate something like this. Any thought appreciated. Thanks.

Its a waste of money. 50k for a probably stock engine with some body bling. Let go a little off topic and say that car was not in the movie and it was just something someone built. I wouldnt pay more than 6-7k for it. So just because it was in a movie and a famous actor drove it they now want 50k for it??

Well, you could say the same about the Aston Martin DB 5 driven by Sean Connery in Goldfinger... or a a stock Fender Telecaster once played by Keith Richards... or a baseball signed by Jackie Robinson. What's it worth as a certified collectible. That's the question. The Fast & Furious franchise has a huge following...

And thats why its hard to put a price on what its worth. If its worth that much to you then go for it. It wouldnt matter to me who drove it so I would not be willing to pay a super high price. If I had to guess on what its really worth, and this is a guess, I dont see that thing selling for anymore than 20k if they are even lucky to get that.

Thanks. You may be right. But I'm gonna scream if I let this go and someone in China buys it and then sells it 5 years from now for $100k - when F&F5 comes out. Collecting is a disease, bro.

Final thought: Last year at Pebble Beach, the stock Porsche 911S driven by Steve McQueen at the opening of the 1971 movie LeMans sold for $7M... as in million. If was on screen for less than 2 minutes, just puttering through the French countryside.
