Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
Most of the decals are done.
Looking nice so far. There are only three decals that need some attention. The roof decals is much too big and needs a smaller size and also the front wing decal "Pentosin" is too big.And at the back i need a new number 8 for the zakspeed c1/8 instead of 1/4. Thats all. regards Christian |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
The body parts are now done. All are polished and waiting for the chassis.
I used some Alclad for the chassis. The tires are also done together with some smaller parts. Time to put these parts together and go on with the cockpit stuff. regards Christian |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
Something different.
A airbrush cover to avoid fumes and dust. The cover is done so far.Only need to attach the front cover with the 3 holes in it. I used clear acryl sheet which i bought a while ago for my display cabinet.I want ti use it as glas floors, but the models are too heavy. So i ordered some real glas in the mean time. But what to do with the 5 acryl sheets? So i decided to build a cover for my airbrush extraction system. The frame is 3mm aluminum and all is screwed together. Will test them i a couple of days. regards Christian |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
And finally something new on the main subject.....the car.
The final tire version was painted and installed. Now i can go on with the cockpit installation with dashboard and other stuff. For test fit i put the cossie in the engine bay.Works. The dashboard is the next bigger step.Need to create the instruments and switches. regards Christian |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
I'm jealous - the car looks great, the gauges are brilliant, you can spraypaint indoors in the warm, and you've got a 935-77 on the wall on the calendar...
Top man! SB |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
Some new tools arrived today.
The Dremel is hopefully helpful with the scratching parts of modeling. The others was used to create the gauges. Dashboard is finished.Used some screws, dips and other stuff from the spare box.And finally with Wims decals the dashboard get some life. regards Christian |

Re: double build: Ford C100 & Ford Zakspeed C1/4 in 1/12 scale
Some more progress on the group c racer.
The cockpit is done.Seat was installed and added the seat belts. Also the fire extinguisher found his place. The engine was glued into the place and i made the radiators in the front. Window and wiper are there. Here you can see the front radiators and the brake cooling ducts. The air intake are now filled with mesh. The mirrors and the lights are in the make. The rest is only adding some rivets, screws and the rear wing. Thats all. But i will show some pics of the complete car when its done. regards Christian |

Now its done. The Zakspeed C1/8 ist finished.
Thanks to all who posted comments or looked in this wip thread. Thanks! Always motivating to read a new comment. I started this at October 2017 and wanted to build two versions. At the end its only one.Sorry! Now i got another unique model in my display cabinet which made me very proud. Maybe i find some time tomorrow and make some better pics. Thats all for now. Hope you like it like i do? regards Christian |
