G20T Blower Fan Ticking Noise
Hi all
For the last few weeks, my G20t blower fan is making some annoying ticking noises when the fan speed is at position 1 or 2. The noise is not there all the time and sometimes it is quite noticeable. I found out that a blower fan cover can be installed to reduce the noise. The catch is that I am in Canada and none of the US Infiniti TSBs apply to me ( what a bunch of b.s) Anyway, has anyone experienced this and are there any fixes for it? Thanks. |

Re: G20T Blower Fan Ticking Noise
I have 2000 G20T with the same exact problem.
Mainly in speed position 1, as soon as I turn it up to 2 or 3 it goes away. Ive yet to fix, although if I do Ill post it here. Otherwise if you get it fixed let me know too. Thanks |

It has been more than 1 year since I got it fixed. Basically, my Infiniti dealer got a blower fan cover to shield the noise from getting into the cabin. Luckily, my car was still under warranty or else that would have cost me $$$ plus installation. Right now, the fan is quiet and sometimes it is as though the fan doesn't seem to work at all but it is really working....just that it is so quiet. Even on setting #1, there isn't a hint of ticking noise. I am really happy I resolved this issue. Trust me, the sounds that you are hearing will get worse with time. Mine was so bad that even on setting #2, the ticking noise was loud. On #3, well.....the noise is less noticeable but the air was too strong. Anyway, good luck in your repair. Hope this will help. |
