'88 900 Clutch Replacement Procedure?
Anyone have a link to clutch replacement procedure?
A friend axed me to do his clutch for him (I'm a RWD BMW mekannic). I already removed his clutch pedal and welded the ELONGATED hole where the pin goes through. That bought him another 2 weeks It looks easy as pie. A mechanic told me it's a 4 hour job (5 if it's a turbo) and you need a special tool (clip) for the job....also to replace the slave. Does a clutch KIT include this tool? Remove hood. (easier). Remove rad. (not neccessary, but easier?) I'm not gonna buy a manual. My "friend" is prolly to cheap to buy one . Just thought there may be a link out here in cyberspace somewhere? If not, I'll just "wing it" until I start scratchin' my head and break down to buy a manual. |
