New manual transmission driver -PLEASE HELP
I'm new to driving manual transmission and I have a question about starting out in first gear. No matter if I first apply gas and then release the clutch, or release the clutch half way (catch point) and apply gas, there seems to be this rubbing going on. I was just wondering if this is hard on the car or if this is normal? My friend told me that releasing the clutch too slow can burn out the clutch and I'm concerned that this is what the rubbing is doing.
Thanks! P.S. vehicle is a 2011 chevrolet cruze. |

Re: New manual transmission driver -PLEASE HELP
find someone that knows how to drive a stick and see if it makes the same noise for them. they might be able to give you some pointers on driving a stick too and you can learn by watching
