Leather upholstery cleaning
I drive a 2011 Subaru Impreza R with the leather interior.
5 weeks ago, some bright spark decided to bring his lamb roast into my car and placed it in the back seat. After dropping him off, the cooking grease spilt all over the passengers side. It didn’t get any onto the carpet. After many attempts to cleaning it, there is a very unpleasant odour as soon as you get in. After you drive a bit, the smell isn’t there but I guess it’s because you get use to it. I do Uber so I don’t want that embarrassing feeling when someone is picked up. I’ve tried everything, I’ve spent hundred of dollars on professional cleaning and odour eliminating sprays but the smell is still there. Leaving windows down all night do nothing and also bicarbonate soda. I’m very sceptical on what you can and can’t use on leather but I thought maybe steam cleaning could do the trick. A lot of people tell me steam cleaning will ruin the leather. I’m running out of ideas. Any suggestions and thank you in advance |
