1949 Chevy Styleline Deluxe Carburetor

I was interested in upgrading my current single barrel original carburetor for my 49 chevy instead of rebuilding it and wanted some recommendations, any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. You want to replace the oe carb with something bigger, newer? With the oe
intake you have very limited choices.

Of course, you could always swap intakes to something like THIS and add a second 1BBL carb. That would probably lead you right into wanting the matching cast iron headers.
