How to lunch a manual Max
Hi guys
i am new here i want to know how to lunch a manual maxima i have a 2001 max manual never raced before i don`t want to lose my first race. oh and one more thing i have 18` rims on my max will this effect the way i should lunch and i also have an air intake |

Get rolling a tiny bit before the light turns green, rev your engine to about 1300-1600rpm, and when the light turns green, drop the clutch, gun it, and watch him disappear in your rearview mirror.

thanks thrasher for your reply but do you think it will be better if i lunch say at 2000-2500 rpm
and how far can i go with rpm befor my wheels start spining by the way the car that i`m gone race is a 2k1 CLK320 who do you think will win |

No, you should definitely launch before 2000rpm, cause you will just spin your wheels then...you want your tires in solid contact with the road as much as possible. and i think those mercedes CLK320's do 0-60 in about 6.9 seconds, and on a good launch you can get 6.6 or 6.7 Good luck

you should dump the clutch at like 2200. traction control will take control of the spin. and get out of first gear kinda qucikly. 6.6 is slow i'm pullin 6.2's

OK guys thanks for your replay any way you guys want to konw what happened with the race all right
I raced the guy two times the first time i had abad launch and did not change gears that well he beat me by a car lenth the 2nd time I got a good launch and very good gear change and i won by two car lenths the race was great espeacially the 2nd time there was another race that night between a camry v6 and a 97 max both are moded the max won big and i liked the race because the guy with the camry is a big a?? hole he thinks he can win over any car see the video you guys camry vs max |

i dont know if a max would b good for lunch, a honda would b good eating though.... i keep the rpms below 2000 or right at, the wheels spin just enough to get a good LAUNCH, any higher and the wheels would spin too much
