Re: check engine light

Check engine light - get your codes checked out at Autozone or the dealership.

Service engine soon light - set odometer to ODO, turn car off, hold ODO reset button, turn key 2 clicks. wait till all of the "0"s scroll off of the screen.

Does this help you?

Re: check engine light

i actually think you see dashes on the odometer when reseting the maintenance light.

But yes, thats is how you do it. The only other way to temporarily turn off a CEL is too disconnect the negative battery terminal, wait a few minutes, and then reconnect it. But if there is something wrong with your car, it will come back on within the first 50 miles anyway.

What did you do that youre getting a CEL?

Re: check engine light

Yea, why dont you get it checked out instead of pretending its not there? Maybe you can prevent a small problem from turning into a bigger one.
