Re: Audi Quattro drives up to a ski jump (with snow)
The old one was SO being towed up the hill. You can tell they tried to hide the cable from view.
If they put that same commercial out today in the US it would have 1000 disclaimers about it at the bottom. *Do not Attempt, Professional Driver, Closed Course* *Results Not Typical* *Simulation, Car is Actually Being Towed* *Don't try this you flippin' Moron! You'll die!* *Grow a Brain* But that new one, WOW, I don't care what kind of tires they put on it, that was impressive. I'd like to see if some other AWD can do that, would be the new standard for AWD's. 1. 1/4 mile 2. 0-60 3. 0-100 4. 0-60-0 5. Ski Jump

Re: Audi Quattro drives up to a ski jump (with snow)
hell i could jerry rig a ski jump from 5 sheets of ply wood, 2 2x4's a case of beer and 1/2 of an old tin roof.
that is amazing...there are 4wd trucks that couldnt do that. i bet that drivers balls just got 3 times bigger. that or they already where hanging to the floor. you see how steep that incline was? and he was accelerating up it....i bet it wouldnt have taken much bot a little more top heavy and a good gust and he would have been over.... |

Re: Audi Quattro drives up to a ski jump (with snow)
at 2:10-2:13 into vid, almost at the top, you can see no spinning of any tires throwing snow back (like it made it all the way up without any wheelspinning, especially at the very top where it would most likely be digging for traction, sure thing bud).
