Continental GT

I'm amazed that there have been no posts on this beutiful car as yet. Is it on sale in the states now? I took one for a test drive and was uber impressed. Its AMW means the handeling is nice and agile, and the W12 provides train like pulling power. I was a little disapointed with the Audi/VW parts all over the place, particulaly the gear selector and surround. It just didn't look right.

Has anyone else got any oppinions on this car. I would be very interested to hear about then.

I am also suprised no one has offered any opinions on the GT. I am considering purchase and wanted to know if there was still a waiting list for 05 models or do dealers have open slots for this car.

Re: Continental GT

You should look at the Bentley Continental forum, there are some threads in there about the Conti GT, some reviews also including mine.

Its an awesome car. and its cheap (for a Bentley), about $150,000. But I dont think they offer a manual transmission.

Re: Continental GT

SL 65 AMG is a breathtaking racecar. But - definitely - cannot be compared with Coni GT's prestige. For an average eye an SL is an SL - and a Bentley is a dream. At least at my place: there are many SLs running around, but a Bentley is really the high spot of the day.

Re: Continental GT

And hope not to meet a 65 AMG on the motorway with my Continental GT... This is when you come to choose: race or prestige

Re: Continental GT

There's a couple of them in my neck of the woods. They're nice cars, but for the money I'd buy something else.

Re: Continental GT

The Continental GT Speed is the most powerful production Bentley ever and the first to top 200mph (322km/h). A potent addition to the company’s highly successful Continental series, the GT Speed extends the appeal of the Continental GT coupe to driving enthusiasts who place a high value on outright performance and agile handling. The exterior style of the new Continental GT and GT Speed models is defined by a wider, lower air intake and more upright radiator grille that also provide increased airflow to the more powerful GT Speed. Its 600bhp (610PS) W12 engine develops 15 percent more torque and nine percent more power than the standard Continental GT, while engine efficiency is optimised by the use of lower friction, lighter-weight components and a new engine management system. The resultant performance is exceptional, with a top speed of 202mph (326km/h), a zero to 60mph sprint time of just 4.3 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.5s) and effortless overtaking capability.
