Hi Guys is there anyone out there that could possibly let me know what the correct automatic transmission fluid is for a 1986 toyota corona avante, also I need to know if you can tell me why when the car is clod it will go into gear however as it warms up you loose all gears there is also a loud whining noise all the time? Anyone with any idea would be welcome.

With regard to the noise you're hearing, replace the transmission fluid (if the fluid is not an ugly dark brown and smells really bad) and see if the noise goes away.
