1997 Ford Club Wagon 5.4 L Triton V-8 - Spark Plug Coils
Hello, Does anyone know if one can do away with (completely remove from the engine system) the spark plug coils (there is a coil for each plug) on a 1997 Ford Triton 5.4 L V-8 engine? It is in a 1997 Econoline Club Wagon. Of course, if at all possible, different spark plugs and wires would be required, and something changed in the electronics/computer, etc. part(s) of the engine. They fail too frequently, are expensive, and it is expensive to have them worked on. Has anyone heard of this being done? Thanks, SK
