2001 RAV4 Find Misfire with Torque Pro - No Code
This is a manual 5 speed RAV4. I have a misfire that happens under a load and sometimes at idle but not throwing a code. I replaced the spark plugs which helped and made sure the air filter was clean. I downloaded the Torque Pro app and I would like to be able to see which cylinder is misfiring while the engine is running because I may have a bad coil. Is there a PID or something I need to do to see which cylinder is misfiring? Thanks in advance.

Sorry that I can't answer your question, but you might try disconnecting each coil in turn and see which one makes the engine different than the others. It will miss with all being disconnected one by one, but one should be different, if you can detect the difference.

Re: 2001 RAV4 Find Misfire with Torque Pro - No Code
Thanks for your reply Brian. The problem seems to happen while driving it under a load mostly and occasionally at idle which makes it difficult to find. I've heard that there are specific Toyota PIDs that monitor each cylinder for misfires before an error code occurs. That being the case, I could then switch coils around to see if the problem follows the coil to a different cylinder.
