The NSX was forced to be a track car due to the stupid 280BHP agreement.

I haven't seen an NSX with more than 500bhp in tuned trim, which is the new performance benchmark for any car within this market sector.

The gentlemans agreement for all the japanese co making supercars. 280hp is the limit, and its that way because they dont want to get caught up in a "horsepower war" where all the co just one up each other with power numbers and neglect the rest of the car which they accuse american car makers of doing. I think what they're doing is equally stupid.

Damn...that sucks. I really do want to see an NSX with a 400HP V8. Shit...the f20c has 240hp, I think they could've EASILY got more out of a c32b then 290hp. DAMN! THAT IS GAY!

yeapers...

I think even an equal displacement V10 with more revs wouldda blown the current 290bhp away.

yeah considering the current Honda F1 motor makes over 800hp @ 18,000 rpms with no variable timing and NA, i think they could put a little something together for us, say 400hp?

Okay guys, calm down.
heh

Well, if you want to see a tuned NSX, still restricted in some respects, but still tuned; check out the JGTC NSXs.

3.5L DOHC 490-500 bhp

Well the NSX IS REALLY FAST MAN.
7.5 too far off track. Besides thats a crappy 4 speed automatic, look into the real sports car, the 6 speed 290hp. That car is rated 0-60mph in the mid 4s. Every one that tests it comes out with a low 4 mid 4 0-60 and a high 13 1/4 mile. That isnt slow.

Youve seen the NSX type S zero. 4.1 0-60 mph, and a stunning 12.9, 13.0 sec on the 1/4 mile. That is what a porshe turbo or a modena are running.

low 4s mid 13s aint slow. Thats fast. Thats close to a viper with 500 hp.

Re: Someone please tell me this isn't true about the NSX 0-60 mph time...

If honda makes a V10 NSX in the future, you'll see me in line for one. Imagine revving to 14K RPMs, or higher?

And when the hell does GT4 come out? Over 500 cars according to the display box, but no Lambo's or Ferrari's would be disappointing (as well as no McLaren F1).
