Re: Revell 2016 releases

I think the Boxter is just a rebox of the Revell snapper, which has 37 parts, including a pair of metal rods and two screws, so it's not like wasting money on developing a brand-new kit.

McLaren 570 is nice, but I'd like the P1 instead.

Of course for 986 already exist a stunning and perfect tamiya model kit, bot in standard and in special version.... MAH...
Maybe their budget ran out paying for the new AMG GT and Mclaren 570S licensing rights. All kidding aside i wouldn't mind a new generation boxster, 911, or even a Mission E concept model. A P1 or a P1GTR would also top that list too.

Re: Revell 2016 releases

suspect kids car freaks know a LOT more about modern cars. 95 model is a nonsense, just my 2 cents.
Curious to see if revell will seel it at a bargain price...or exactly as the others one in ctalagoue of the same serie.

ditto, ok ,i think I will not buy it

Re: Revell 2016 releases

I love the Boxter, especially the original. In my opinion, it is one of the very best things Porsche has done in the last several decades. It's a car built purely for simplicity, performance, and joy- without all the tedious trappings of luxury and exclusivity. A true, honest to god sportscar- the likes of which are incredibly rare in contemporary car manufacturing.

But I have zero interest in a new kit of one. The Tamiya kit is all the 1/24 986 that I need.

the same here.

Re: Revell 2016 releases

Pics of the model in the link. Pretty simplified engine bay, but not a huge issue for me. It'll build up nicer than whoever built the display model.

Re: Revell 2016 releases

I saw a Revell stand in Telford-SMW couple of weeks ago and in their catalogue was written that c7r will be released in January 2017 in Europe. I hope that it is true.
