Air Pocketes in Coolant Line

How serious is the possibility of air pockets in the radiator line?

A hose on my radiator blew off, draining my antifreeze. I put the hose back on and filled the radiator back up. I took my car out for a few minutes and it seems to be running fine. Should I be worried about air pockets that could have formed ? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Are there bleeders in the cooling system, if not leave the cap off overnight with the front of the car elevated somehow.

Are suggesting he let it run all night with the heater on?

No. Start car, turn heater on full max. Shut off. If any air in the heater core.

Re: Air Pocketes in Coolant Line

some cars have bleeder valves for the coolant. I wouldn't worry about it, the heater is probably the main concern, as with alot of american made large cars the engine should be below alot of the coolant hoses and will pump the air pockets away from the critical engine parts. just check the coolant level occasionally.
