Locking Gas Cap for '04
Does anyone know where I can get a locking gas cap for my '04 GP? Will a cap designed for an '02 or '03 GP work on the '04 ?

FYI in case anyone cares or needs one for their 04 GP:
I found the right cap. I called a few auto parts stores. None of them list a locking cap for 04 GP's. I even called the dealer and they do not show it in their catalog. I found rockauto.com and they list a locking cap here: https://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/dbpage/prt/153/10506 I ordered the part, it's on my car and working just fine. BTW it's the same exact cap that was on my 02 Blazer. So this cap must be fairly common. |

Re: Locking Gas Cap for '04
Just looking into getting a locking gas cap. With the one you pointed to in the link, have you had any emission lights come on? I heard the reason, from the dealership, that they didn't have a locking gas cap was because these "new" gas caps allow a certain amount of vapor to breathe out.
Thanks! |

Re: Locking Gas Cap for '04
I have been using this locking gas cap pretty much since I had the car and no lights or trouble.
Hope this helps... |
