Australian Renault 19 RT 1.7 oil leak problems
Help! I've got a 1993 Renault RT 1.7 litre sedan that is leaking oil like the proverbial sieve. We've installed a new (reconditioned) block, all new seals, rings, the head has been done, etc, etc. I've paid out over $4500 to have this work done and now it still chews through 1 litre every 500Km! No smoke - no puddles underneath when parked - it's a mystery! Yes...all the PCV stuff has been checked and rechecked. Any suggestions? Help! Cheers, Dennis (dchester@gil.com.au)

Re: Australian Renault 19 RT 1.7 oil leak problems
check your cooling fluid after you have done a few km. if you have lots of bubbles the engine is wasted than there is oil leeking in your cooling system .also try to chek ifyou are not leeking to your transmission
