How much do they run? And I always had this question. When racing, can tires play a big role in the outcome of that race. What could be the difference in someone making a run w/ good tires and then changing them to bad ones? How much can bad tires slow you down?

They are only available in Japan, but they are awesome racing and drift tires.

Yes, fresh tires do play a big role in racing, when you have new tires, they grip the track better than old tires which have less tread and therefore less traction.

They don't really slow you down, they just reduce handling which is bad for racing in most sports

Hope that helps.

not exactly correct .... traction or grip is dictated by rubber compounding not tread design ....tread design is for water evacuation ... that's why people use soft compound slicks on race cars with no tread design

Kumho makes an excellent autoX tire and the Ecsta MX is very good but, the "Ecsta Supra 712" sould be renamed the "Ecsta Corolla 712" because it is an insult to the name and performance of a Supra

hey!! i got kumho supra's, they are meant to have more tire life then the mx, thats why its not to much as performance as the mx but for me, i want more tire life. thats why the mx wears down more quickly, they are very sticky. usually the more sticky, the less life. not all of us are auto-xers....

Luke@tirerack, you should take back that Corolla rename comment. I own a Corolla and they are amazing AutoX cars and saying that because it gives the supra a bad name would say it would give the corolla a bad name too because they are great cars

Maybe rename it some car that no one likes, maybe an Aztek?

why would they rename it to a car that no one likes??? they are trying to sell it and giving it a stupid name doesnt help. names play an important role when selling something, believe it or not.
