IAC location on 97

Anyone know where the IAC is located on a 97 contour? My little sisters car is idling poorly when it is in Drive or Reverse, yet idles fine when it is in park or neutral. I think it's not a vacuum leak because it idles fine in park, and I pulled the plugs and they didn't look too bad. Does anyone have any pictures of the IAC location?

It's a 4 cylinder. Is there anything else I can check? The car only has about 70k miles on it. My dad wants her to get rid of it soon because of the idle, but if I can fix it for 1-200 bucks I think we would keep it.

The IAC is built into the MAF.

This is incorrect. The purpose of the IAC is to keep the motor idling when the throttle body is fully closed, so it has a means of still drawing in air. Consequently, the IAC has to be located downstream of the throttle body. Making it before the throttle body, in the MAF per se, would actually make the car idle worse since you would losing metered air.

If you want the how-to and location of the IAC, read this thread on contour.org.
