Crazy indeed especially when theirs only three in the world and one of those three is in the Brunei Collection. Are insurance cost getting too high for Mclaren? What makes you think it went to Switzerland? Is it because of this photo?

We had a discussion about it being sold off a few months back and possibly to Switzerland to join more F1s. That pic would match that as Erik said 16R, 25R, 053, and XP3 and they all match. I still don't get why McLaren would sell it. If they needed the money, they could surely get a loan using the car as collateral if they couldn't eventually pay it back...

More and more I'm confused that why Kidston did this Christmas card. Mystery issue. :P That what I really wonder. If it so, only 1995 GTR and LM is missing but unlikely, LM is impossible to have and I don't think #07R ended this collection as we know quite sure it did not last time when it was on sale recently.

I think its just some good advertisement for him to show how well hes doing in F1 sales.

I always believed that Mclaren would be willing to sell their F1 collection but with a extreme markup and it was one of those things where you had to ask. After all, they were going to give their LM to Lewis Hamilton if he won another championship so it doesn't seem too far off to think they would sell it off if the price was right.

I'm not sure what's so confusing about it. It's just the collection of 5 F1s that guy now has is what it looks like to me.

Erik did mention another McLaren car may head that way which could be the LM if not 04R. He didn't say two more but if you think they want all variants they might offer.

Hopefully they don't sell anymore as McLaren at least puts them on display. Not sure about the new owner...

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...

That owner mentioned above has a short tail GTR, a long tail GTR, a long tail road car, a standard road car and one of the prototypes.

At least 2 of the LM's are available for the right price but aren't being offered for sale at all - if the money came along then I'm sure at least one would change hands, and by the sounds of it this guy with 5 F1's has the means to get more if he wanted to.

I hear #04R has gone to another guy who already has 2 F1's

To be clear, I meant that a second car would leave the collection of 6 we've known to be in Woking, and the last sentence of Greg's post covers that.

What's happening to #25R livery wise?

I’m not sure if that’s public yet or not, so had better not let it out of ‘le bag’....

Re: Recap of the English F1 fleet - Take 2...

Any idea on what 27R's asking price is? It's currently up for sale by Tom Hartley Jnr. It is road converted, but I wonder how much it being a longtail GTR affects its price compared to the other variants as these seems to go for the least amount.

Edit: That's odd. I looked up a different F1 for sale in an article that had a link to mobile.de (20 million Euro for a silver road car) and it took me to 27R and it says 18 million Euro.
