Re: Where do you build?
Here's two pics of my room, it's in the basement, but at least it has a big window for at least some light from above and some fresh air. My paint booth is my garage, just spraying out the open door. I couldn't stand the smell of too much fresh paint all over the house.
My model cars are allowed in the living room, my military stuff isn't.

Re: Where do you build?
Wow, two years since I posted this.
Well, it's been a busy two years for me. The basement has undergone significant renovation. I have not built a thing, as I have not had the space to do so. But work on the underground lair continues. The brewery was upgraded last year, and it is producing Kölsch and Weißbier. The machining bench was completed at the beginning of this year, and it has been very useful. I am now building benches, shelves and lighting for the modelling area. Hope to have something to show for my efforts soon. And yes, the 993 Turbo will be first atop the bench....

Re: Where do you build?
My space stretches from the garage to the living room. Living in coastal Florida negates the possibility of a basement, which I'd really prefer to build a dedicated space (I do RC stuff as well.) My unbuilts are stored in a closet in the garage... They keep multiplying without my knowledge.

Re: Where do you build?
Great thread! We'we seen some really nice mancaves here I recently set up my new working area and even though it's not 100% done yet, I started a new build already as I couldn't resist it It's really small but I haven't had a dedicated workbench for nearly a year so I'm happy with my little workshop.

Re: Where do you build?
Heres my modelling room, all hand made worktops and shelves. The paint booth is a modified portable booth built into the wall with the fumes vented outside of course:
These A1 cutting mats came yesterday rolled up the opposite direction to how they lay......Gravity solved the problem after a few hours though! |
