Fancy buying a Hunaudieres?
They are actually selling on in Germany!
Isn't there only one concept car though? Does this mean that we cannot gawp at it during car shows |

No, we can still gawp at it since it is such a beautiful car and it will probably be at even more car shows because it is a production car. I love it, but I never thought Bentley would put it into production. Got any interior pics?

I don't know about that. That website has a lot of cars for sale that are not really for sale!

I think they sell them all, but only some display the price, or have an auction going on for the car.

I think they probably take offers and then contact the owner/maker of the car, see if they can make a deal.

I'm willing to bet that this dealership has SOME of these cars but I would definitely put down money that they cannot even SHOW YOU some of these cars. There are dealers that sell cars on consignment for other people and if a deal can be struck, they will arrange a meeting between seller and buyer. Some of the cars on this site are NOT for sale.
The ones I caught (there could be more, and I'm sure there are): Pagani Zonda Roadster (it just made its debut at a car show last month) Bentley Continental GT (not in production yet) Lamborghini Gallardo (see BOTH reasons above) Bugatti 16/4 Veyron (not one but THREE, and the car isn't even in production yet) Maybach 62 (again, not in production yet and you must ORDER one, this dealer isn't a Maybach franchise) Volkswagen Nardo (not in production, not planned for production) and the aforementioned Bentley Hunaudieres, a concept car that is not headed for production. Just because they show you the vehicle doesn't mean they have it or they are selling it. |

Actually, I had seen recently a Top Gear video where they demonstrated a Pagani Zonda Roadster soon to be shipped to some guy in Germany who made a fortune in pneumatic valves.(It's what they said.) It was yellow with ostrich hide for the inerior. I wanted a Zonda before for it's exotic and unique looks and I still do but I think the Roadster looks even better. Even with it's top on it looks better than the coupe version. But I don't know about the ostrich hide. Bugatti still doesn't even have it's manufacturing facilites completed for the Veyron yet do they?

About that Hunaudieres in the Singen place: it says it is sold now BUT they will try to find you a similar car if you ask them (well, actually that's a comment added automatically to any car they sell and don't have other examples of). So apparently VW (ok, Bentley..) are going into production with this. I believe they mean they have sold the CONTRACT for the car to be delivered in 2005. The same goes for other exotics not in production yet. They were accepting orders for the Enzo 2 years before it was unveiled. Many dealers will accept orders for cars not yet in production, some mega-money dealers like Auto Salon Singen will even accept orders for cars that MAY or MAY NOT enter production since they have a good enough reputation and clients trust they will get their money back (I guess...).
I don't think they sold the concept-car since it says 2005 (not that for the right price it couln't be sold). Needless to say this is only my take on this story and someone who knows more about these Singen people (someone who reads german mags?) could shed some light on this and all matters concerning Singen... |

Re: Fancy buying a Hunaudieres?
It will never go into production, I e-mail the Bentley dealership here in Montreal and they were sorry to say it would never see the light of day

Re: Re: Fancy buying a Hunaudieres?
This dealer takes orders for cars, and has buying power, some of which are never made, beacause as already said, waiting lists start before production begins
