I read about what happened to the option Z. 201mph and then it crashed. Nice paint scheme on it. RB powered Z, now there's an idea, if only the RB26 was easier to get than buying an entire kit!

There were 2 350's with the Nur Specs during the summer for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Got to do a little work on one of them. Great fun.

Don't worry about the Option Z... is coming alive soon. Just saw it on the option Mag Feb'04 edition.

so no one wants to give the VQ35DE any love eh?

We'll see what kinda ultimate potential that engine has over the next couple of years. That crazy RB swap is almost a tuner's easy way out.

I would agree if it were a plain RB. Don't see that many Nur Specs.

I've got much love for the VQ35. I talked my dad into buying the Altima SE that's pictured in my sig. I was thinking about taxing my credit and buying a G35C but man, insurance!

I'm serioulsy thinking about dropping a SR20VE into my G and go huntin'! No BS ricer claims here. The decisions I have are the VE or a set of 16" LM GT4's and saving the rest.

Thats true, it is a NUR.. good point.

the VE swap sounds like a serious winner to me. I LOVE G20's. I wanted to get one and throw a GTI-R engine in it. to each his own, I've never had a turbo car so I was craving the boost, but the VE would be hella-fun also. that would be one sick package. what a classy looking car.

I've got a buddy a couple miles away with a GTi-R in his G. His car looks ghetto but it's really fast. I'm also helping my cousin install his DET into his grey S13.

I love driving boosted cars and working on them but as far as ownership....not for me.

So VE for you soon. your buddy's got DET's... thats cool you can see who stands where when the sh!t hits the fan!! that'll be interesting, I for one would like to see how your VE runs against that GTI-R setup.

I checked out your cardomain page and Im impressed. Very clean G, great interior. and your ICE is stunning dude. Beautiful Nissan.

erm the Nur motor is just a N1 motor, with different paint on the rocker covers, heck its just typical RB26 bar the oil and water pumps and steel turbine wheels.

Re: The Option 350Z gone. In comes hope.....new project anyone?

Per j-garge.com:

"2002.02 : As the final limited-production series of the R34 Skyline GT-R, the Nur. series was introduced in Japan. The feature of the GT-R Nur. is a highly accurate engine which improved the weight balance such as pistons and con-rods which are the main parts of the engine based on the N1 specification engine installed in the Nuerburgrings 24 hour race and a domestic Super Taikyu race."

Also, the Nur RB uses ball-bearing super-delicate ceramic turbine t-chargers.

I don't know where they sourced the engine but to put in perspective there are only 1000 Nur Spec R34's.
