No such "Official" BMW car.

In 1992 BMW produced the M-version of the 850i called the 850Csi. These hand built rockets were built from 1992-1995 and 1510 total were produced. By the way, the ONLY two vehicles that were actually produced by BMW M GmbH
(BMWMotorsport)Garsching,Germany were the M5's(up to the E34's)AND 850CSi's. None of the M3's and the current M5's(E39) have been assembled at Motorsport---they are/were assembled in the same factory as the rest of the "regular" cars at Dingolfing, Germany

Only 250 BMW 850CSi's were officially imported into North America. You can buy one for $65-85K used IF you can find one.

The US version of the 850CSi was only available in 1994-95. There are only 215 of those cars in the US with US Specs.

The European version or Euro 850CSi is considered by BMW to be an M8 and the cars were titled that way overseas.

There was a prototype M8 that was a lightweight version of the E31 that was originally produced as a race platformfor BMW in the spirit of the M1 which the E31 borrowed it's styling cues from. This car was never approved for production since the '90s proved to be a dark age for sports cars and the E31 8 Series was meeting the same slow market as the 300Z, Supra, and RX7.

By the way, there are two companies that are considered excellent choices for exhaust: Supersprint and Eisenhaus.

Hope this helps

Sean
