A Private Message with the request and an e-mail address is the approach. You can send Private Messages from the link near the upper right of this page, just below your login ID.

You caught me in a good mood this morning so I pulled your e-mail address from your profile and the files are on their way to your inbox.

Re: codes P0171, P0174 Lincoln LS V6"

After a 5 hour adventure, Iwas able to get that darn elbow out. My car seems to be running fine. Thank you Rod for the instructions. THey were precise and extremely helpful! I also used something else I saw on the forum saying that there was no need to take the fuel line bracket/ connectors off. This is in fact correct. I just carefully moved it to the side and there was the elbow! ANyway, after it was all said and done I drove the car and no issues so far. Just waiting for everything to go through the drive cycle ( i had to unplug the battery to clean te terminals). THanks again Rod!

You probably have water down in the sparkplug wells shorting the coils out. If it's been long enough that all the water should be cooked out now, then probably one or more coils were damaged.

Re: codes P0171, P0174 Lincoln LS V6"

Anyone have a Aftermarket 2000 Lincoln LS DVD that I could copy? Ill send it back, Boy Scouts Honor. Being in the Army I can access a national Chilton repair website for free. But no pics and not thorough walkthrough. Remove Intake, Remove Engine. LOL Hate those sorta steps. So anyone willing to ship would be much appreciated.

Re: codes P0171, P0174 Lincoln LS V6"

Like everyone else I have had nothing but problems with my 2001 Lincoln ls. This is the worst car I have ever owned, but my wife loves it! I have replaced all the coil packs, valve cover gaskets, heater control valve, hoses ect. Now I have another code the famous p0174 and sometimes hot air will blow out the vents with the a/c on. I have saved a lot of money doing the work myself so I am also fed Lu with this car but willing to give it another try for my lady. Please help! Thanks

Can someone send me the pdf file please? [e-mail address removed by moderator] if you have problems with misfire and oil in the spark plugs you have to replace the valve cover gaskets. That fixed my misfire and rough idle.

Re: codes P0171, P0174 Lincoln LS V6"

Thanks for the pics ROD. Just as i was going to tackle the intake I found a rubber fitting that was torn. It was the vacuum hose that goes from the throttle body to the back of the intake. It a plastic tube that has rubber fittings on both ends. Of course they dont sell just the rubber pieces you have to buy the hole thing. Dealer part only $30 bucks. Hopefully that's it. Thanks again Rod. Next is the AIR BAG light!!!!

Good find, and it may be lucky that you found that before taking the entire upper intake off. Hopefully that's all it takes to fix that issue.

Re: codes P0171, P0174 Lincoln LS V6"

Per your PM, the files were sent. For the cold start issue you should also consider the possibility of a dirty MAF sensor. I'd have to check the manual, but I think the MAF sensor also incorporates the Intake Air Temperature sensor which, if dirty, could explain why the issue is worse when the engine and ambient air is cold. You'll want to plan to replace the spark plugs while in changing the elbow and also carefully inspect the ignition coils.
