302 valve adjustment

Getting ready to drop the 302 back into the 69. Had the heads reworked with hardened seats, polished and ported and new retainer studs. I'm not sure how to go about adjusting the valves from scratch. Any advise is welcomed. Thanks.

You didnt mention if you have stud mount or pedestal rockers as the adjustment methods are different.

For stud mounts you adjust them essentially how ridge_runner said, just make sure the valve you are adjusting is on the base circle of the cam and tighten down 1/2 to 3/4 turn.

Pedestals are a little more complicated since they need shims. Crane Cams has a good adjustment how-to on their site.
