cold air induction problem??

sup guys.

Newbie here and just wanted to say hello. Got a little problem with my 94 GT. I put on a mac cold air induction myself a couple months ago and ever since i put it on, my power has gone down significantly. 99.9% sure I did everything right. Car has a lot of miles on it (145,000) but I found it interesting that the engines power started going down after the mod. Has anybody ever heard of such of thing, or know of something I could have done wrong??? Now it just hesitates real bad, and the power loss has seemed to gradually increase as time has gone by. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: cold air induction problem??

Sounds like a dirty filament of the MAF meter.

I think you guys are both right. Im just a little puzzled why it went bad after the kit went on. I'm assuming it was fine before. Double check your connections make sure everything got plugged back in also.

Re: cold air induction problem??

Also triple-check every connection, if there is any air at all getting past the MAF it will not run right.

edit: that didn't sound right, I meant if any unmetered air gets in behind the MAF it won't run right.
