1999 3-BMW 74k miles high?
thinking about buying a 1999 328 with 74k miles. looks super clean and well maintained. will have checked out by mechanic, but is 74k miles a lot for this car at this year?
how many miles can you expect from the 3 series? over 100k, 200k? please email answers to alanroberts@dararchitects.com thank you! |

with proper maintanence these cars will go 250k miles easily. do find a technician/shop that knows them well and's properly equipped............

as long as it has been taken care of properly. 74k is nothing. keep driving it you will see why there are 74k miles on it. It is too much fun.

I had an '86 528e. 255,000 when I bought it, on a just-rebuilt engine. Almost 300K when I sold it. I'm sure the transmission was rebuilt at some point in the car's life, but the car looked sharp as new, and drove the same way (aside from minor creaks, etc. that surface with age).
BMW's on the whole probably last longer than any other car, excepting perhaps Mercedes diesels. |
