Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

For those of you who convert high quality 1/24th diecasts into very good models here is a new series of F1 cars only available at newsstands in Italy or off ebay Italy. The 1/24th scale series is up to number 30 now with the release of the Ferrari 312T 1975 champion model car. Overall the quality is very high and the accuracy alot better than the old Revell Germany 1/24th F1 kits. Paint is almost perfect and graphics applied very nicely. These are 1/24th scale collector models not BBurago style toys.

Here is the website and several furums with pictures of the models. Hachette also does a very good rally series in 1/24th scale and also do the 1/24th scale Bellkits molds. They know what they are doing.

They plan 60 1/24th scale F1 cars so far and you can only get them on ebay Italy unless you live in Italy. Not very expensive either.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

Hachette has just added 20 more cars in the regular 1/24th F1 series. So now 80 1/24th F1 cars. I will tell you these diecasts are better quality than the old Revell kits and even some Hasegawa and Fujimi kits in 1/24th scale. Buy the BT46B or Lotus 79 and judge for yourself. As I said, I re detail my models to make them very presentable.

Hachette has also rumored a 60 car 1/24th Ferrari F1 collection starting in 2023. These are not junk Burago diecasts, but highly detailed collector models that can be a base for a great super detailed curbside with a small effort. Decals available from Indycals and pattosplace or save as much of the models decals as you can when re detailing, they are that good.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

little by little i'm buying some of theme. On my youtube channel i do the die cast review of those ones. Nice models, still very far away to collector level imho. In november 22 they will do a 312 t4.

They do need some added detail but the paint and graphics are very well done and in alot of cases can be used.

Check out the Hachette rally cars also. The bodies are more accurate than the old Tamiya kits. R5 Turbo Hachette much better to name one. You under estimate these models in your video. Toys can be more accurate than a kit depending on who made them. The suspension is the worst part on that March but it is better on other F1 models. Keep buying them and you will see what I mean.

I do think these are as good as most of the old F1 1/24th plastic kits in accuracy other than Rosso. Way above BBurago style diecasts for sure. Some are better than others. I think the BT46, Tyrrell 006 and Lotus 79 are top quality curbsides. You have to go over all of them and add small details but a Top Quality model is possible with these diecasts. A gift to us from Hachette, a company that also makes plastic kits for other companies.

Nice video....

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

Not really. I just took the last F2004 and will prepare soon a comparison video with my ordinary build of the Revell F2003ga. On the Hachette models there are some dramatic build mistakes, and not cause packaging.
The Ferrari of this series are a must of course and on 1:24 scale. wonderful to see them together with other types of cars.

I well know also the rally series, taking several of them (too many honestly..). Also, Burago is indeed a dilemma. some models are stunning (shapes mostly, clearly done after company 3d files), very well taken, and sometimes also very well assembled. Just took here a stunning sp1 Monza, simply fantastic, as well as their Roma. Impossible miss theme, especially at 20 euros.

I don't think I under estimate theme, never. The proof is I'm buying a lot of theme. The value for money is simply amazing. In ordinary kit modeling for 20 euros you cant get a set of resin wheels.

Note there has been also a test series (I read was made for Spanish market only) where they tried with 60s sports car and prototypes. They made a stunning model of the ford gt40 mk.1 1075 that IMO is simply the best ever around in 24th. Just the wheels are as usual little bit toyish, but the overall look is seriously the nicest. Miles away from any fujimi or meng models, talking of shapes.

It really is amazing we could not get alot of the rally and F1 cars in kits but now they do them all as very good diecasts. By the way, that BBurago SP1 has the same direction directional wheels on both sides, so big mistake but the model is very nice overall. It looks like it should have a motor. Maybe some markets have a motor on the SP1 just like the Roma has a motor in some markets. Strange for them to do that. Anyway I keep buying the F1 and I hope they do a Lemans series. Yes that GT40 is very nice, again more accurate that the Fujimi kit in almost every way.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

will not be surprised if in the future those models will be slightly modified and cloned in resin . bodies are really nicely done. have still a long wish list of those ones to buy.

In a different scale (1:18) also Solido started to do incredibly nice objects.
I've just purchased their RWB porsche 964, for 35 euros. Incredibly nice and stunning look...

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

To go along with the Hachette 1/24th Ferrari 312T I found this figure maker. Very good quality Niki Lauda 1/24th figure. Also have several 1/12th and 1/8th figures.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

This guy is great. I have several in 1/12th and 1/24th and they are so detailed and accurate. Niki Lauda and Fangio look just like them. I think he will do any scale on request.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

I found this guy in Japan who makes videos of most of the Deagostini 1/24th F1 models. They say on their website 80 1/24th F1 models, but they have updated that now to 150 models.

They do supply tobacco decals for the model wich he shows on the end of the video. Paint and finish is very good for a diecast, perfect for reworking and detailing+ clearcoat.

Remember this is the same company that does the Belkits models so they do know how to make good models.

Re: Hachette F1 1/24th scale Championship models

We just hit the halfway point at number 40 for the two series of 1/24th F1 model subscriptions. The quality keeps getting better and better. Rumors of more than 80 1/24th F1 cars are still unconfirmed.

This week the 1/24th Matra MS80 from 1969. I already have the FPPM kit in 1/24th scale but this Hachette model has some things I like better and some things I like less. We also have the Ferrari F1 and Lemans winners 1/24th Hachette collections still coming for next year if rumors are true. Top quality diecasts and good starting points for great models.

The James Hunt Hesketh 308B 1975 is out in 1/24th scale. It looks real nice. This is the halfway point for the first collection.
