do some research about your car, maintenance, cost of parts and labor, before you go racing. b/c when you race, you will break stuff. so be smart. if you have the $$$ to throw around and fix/replace whatever breaks, then by all means go ahead. but money doesn't grow on trees.
oh, and safety is a big issue....again, be smart here.

Re: pointers....
What kind of racing are we talking? Street racing, 1/4 mile racing at a track, course racing in a league. What are you looking to do? What kind of pointers do you need?

Re: pointers....
Lie and and expect to be lied to.
Driving pointers, dont kill yourself, if anything doesnt feel right dont keep going, a race isnt worth the money with you dont make it out of it. You can decide if the amount of money with worth the posible damage to your car. Before any race make sure you know the area, and provided you are both talking before hand, make sure you decide who will hit the brakes and who will stay on the gas if a car is in the oncoming lane. |

Re: pointers....
Know where the cops are. You'll be done driving if you get hit for street racing (Depending on how bad the infraction is)
I assume you're driving a 3kgt if you're posting here about pointers, what model is it? Some people could give you advice on RPM launches if you're running a VR4

Re: pointers....
If you can find it, there's a thread about this in the Street Racing section. Also, I've been told a good jump's around 2000-2500 RPMS for a base I think... but I really don't race mine.
