As George, also I finally took this bad copy of the modellers resin. I waited nearly 3 years (meanwhile I see many of my last pics become deadlinks...) and now I am curious to see the differences between this and what I did convetting the carrera slotracer of the 70s. And also I feel anyway disappointed, cause I payd more than 200 usd for this bad quality, even moulded in an ugly bubbly pink resin. At least the shape is the one I was searching but still think I payd way too much for those parts, and only 2 of theme are usable. wheels are the worst part, cause they simply copied the ones coming from airfix/fujimi Dino Competizione PLUS the mistaken tyres. Totally unuseful. Mines are in those conditions So, I nearly payed 200 dollars for 4 (read FOUR) resin parts. also moulded ugly. Be really careful when u search stuff online guys.... But we are not done here yet !. ..... I wanna clean it as much as I can and try to do something with this expensive brick...

Re: Dino 206 sp
Jesus Christ! It's awful resin quality! It seems that it's molded without vacuum.

Re: Dino 206 sp
correct. And it is awful crispy with nearly 3 millions of ultra small air bubbles.
This is what happens when u deadly wait for something unavailable on the market for YEARS. as said I should thrust much more what I was and will anyway go on build. My model could be easy turned into a full open display model. But it was an impressive, long and hard-core build up. It takes some time to rest and fix during time....I have absolutely no hurry. ....be sure I will clean and fix this "object" as much as I can. No way to waste so much money.... (and guys anyway gave me a BIG warning about this stuff at the time...) It is an experience also this. Must be positive.....must be...must be.. PS: for anybody interested a nice page with database about the real cars here: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris...ter/index.html

Re: Dino 206 sp
Those wheels are not from the Modelers kit, but the rest looks like the kit. If Hiro had been smart they would have done a Dino 206SP before they stopped making Ferrari kits in 1/24th and 1/20th scale.

So time ago I prepared the combo with modified p4 fujimi tires and reworked dino competizione rims, and made some resin copies of theme... this is what I did: Chris, I had a little hope to find also just part of the quality u sell with your wheels. This time was real unlucky. but I will not give up. a long sanding gap-filling cold night is waiting for me here....

Re: Dino 206 sp
and here we go.
Finally drilled all rear part. Now is possible to fit inside the engine block from dino 246 gt enthusiast model. will see if will be possible to cast it also, cause as said gearbox is different from the 246. I also fitted a nice PE/plastic steering wheel, much nicer than the resin one I get. will see if possible cast it in resin too. what I will probably cast is this: as well as of course the vacuform clear parts.

Re: Dino 206 sp
Wait for it Paolo. Really happy that you finally made it. And with engine possibility, is like a miracle.
