2006 DTS Cabin Filter Location
I would like to change the Cabin Filter in my 2006 DTS which has just over 15k miles. Dealer wants $160 - I can buy a filter at Advance for $29.95
Can anyone help with how to locate the filter and is it one (the location) that a real novice could effect the installation without help? Thank you! |

Re: 2006 DTS Cabin Filter Location
There is an access door for it. its under the hood, on the cowl, near the passenger side strut tower.

Re: 2006 DTS Cabin Filter Location
Can you not find that info in your owners manual? MY 2005 CTS has it.
On the CTS its under hood, pass side under windshield wiper cowl screen. Remove and expost small plastic door where filter resides. Easy to do BUT make sure you note how it came out so you put it back in the right way. Rather simple to change on the CTS, $160 sounds outragous to me, but I know the Cadi dealers charge a lot because they think you like to pay a lot. PS-I only drive my CTS in the summer months (May-Oct) and I have to change mine every spring, its very dirty. For you info, here is Wix filter info. I sell and use Wix. 24813 - Cadillac Deville (00-05), DTS (06-07) = CF118C - AC-Delco

Re: 2006 DTS Cabin Filter Location
I changed the cabin air filter in my DTS today. It is an easy job. It took about 3 minutes and didn't require any tools. Definitely a do it yourself job.
