Oil Pan Help

Ok guys i need help im changing out my oil pan on my car (bottomed it out now its cracked) ive never replaced one b4 any tips or tricks, or proper instructiuons on how to use the silicone?

Re: Oil Pan Help

make sure the block is clean of any left over silicone and oil (use brake cleaner) Spread the silicone on the new pan and put it up and tighten 1 bolt at a time (not too tight just up a couple threads untill all the bolts are in). After all the small 10mm bolts are in then tighten them all down good. you will need a 10mm swivel socket for the ones hiding in the transmission housing.
