5 posts... I think you've just won a nomination for top AF postwhore...

Most world leaders are intelligent and calculating, and often play an image of being more common and average, it is indearing to their constituents. Look at Bush, this is a guy who can't get common sayings right, attempts to quantify things in "good" and "evil", but they still love him... It's all in the public relations, and Bush has a VERY good team working for him, as the entire US press is sympathetic to the government. I watched a 5 minute article on CNN, glorifying Bush as some champion of the working man, and trying to play him out EXACTLY like some old filmstar cowboy.

OTHO, in Canada we have Jean Chretien, who has been a good prime minister, but the media is controlled by the opposition here, and they blast him over EVERYTHING. He has very bad public relations, because he has the media working against him.

I think one of the saddest defeats of the human spirit is the system in place now. From birth people are told to do as they are told, and to believe what they are told. It works fairly well, and makes for a good society, but the problem comes when the people who tell them the most are manipulating them towards their own goals...

I don't know if you get any American channels in England, but I get them all here... except HBO, because that would cost more( ). I get to see the American media in full effect, and it scares me. If you watch enough CNN, you can tell what the US government is going to be doing in a year, because they will start influencing public opinion through the supposedly authoritative news source...

I'm hoping to move to the UK after I get my education, to get my citizenship... after that I'd like to move to northern Italy...
