Worth Fixing Air Conditioning?
Hello everyone.
I have a 2002 Saturn L200 with about 170,000 miles. The car has been great to me! I have done the basic maintenance and replaced the suspension/steering parts that always wear out. Other than that, the BCM was replaced and that's it. As I said, the car has been great. I am, however, sick of the fact that the Air Conditioning doesn't work. Is it worth it to get it working? I have heard that it really isn't worth the money, but wanted to make sure. Questions: Why does the A/C typically stop working in these cars? Would buying a kit like this actually make the A/C work again? http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...073&cc=1431616 Am I crazy for even thinking about spending the money on this car? Any help of feedback would be appreciated! Thanks! |

Re: Worth Fixing Air Conditioning?
65% of mobile a/c failures are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak in the system- could be a compressor leak, or a connection leak-- find and fix the leak- evacuate and charge to factory spec and see if it works.
