Cabin air filter watershield - 2002 Regal
Its the first replacement for the cabin filter. The plastic cover is slightly warped and looks like water could flow under and enter the filter. Does anyone know a fix to deflect water away from the filter? I see Pontiac and other models has a shield. I doubt that fits a Regal but open to try other ways if you did one that works. Thanks
PS I am assuming it may leak some which I want to avoid. |

Re: Cabin air filter watershield - 2002 Regal
I checked two sources for this part and both say this does not fit a Regal. Do you have personal experience fitting this to a Regal?

Re: Cabin air filter watershield - 2002 Regal
It looks to fit all the W bodies. I probably says it doesn't fit because it may not have come with one from the factory. I believe it also says it doesn't fit 97-03 Grand Prix's yet many people buy and install them in their 97-03 Grand Prixs
Rereading you said yours already already had one. If you look you may find the part number molded into the part to verify.

Re: Cabin air filter watershield - 2002 Regal
The stock plastic cover seals against the windshield. It starts at the center and fits across the right side. It is not 15794785 which would go underneath the stock cover if it fits. The 15794785 clips on underneath on a metal lip which I am fairly sure my regal does not have. I am open to modify but I think it would take a lot. I saw a video where a guy modified a plastic gallon jug but it it was not clear. I thought someone here may have done similar or had hands on with a regal.
