Battery and alternator replaced. Suspect original alternator was not faulty. Have partial short to ground on main pos wire to engine compartment fuse/relay block. With all fuses removed the short is further followed to battery fuse which is further traced to guage cluster fuse and heater fuse in dash fuse block. With guage fuse removed a no charge condition exists. I suspect this to be because alternator now has no idea how much voltage is in the system. I am suspecting faulty guage cluster or harness failure between guage cluster and heater. I previously incorrectly suspected faulty ignition switch. I am at my wits end and ready to light this lemon scented piece of crap on fire. A total investment of over 600 bucks in parts and still no charge. Never had problems like this with any of my Fords. Currently driving my diesel ford instead. Lol!
