Tamiya USA must think shipping and marketing it in the USA deserves an extra $250 more dollars. |

Can someone please clear this price issue up!!!! Tamiya must be insane to think that it will sell for $600 here..they have to know we will just buy from overseas rather then purchase the car here!!!!

Yeah, looks nice! But I think I'll stick with 1/24 scale, I don't even have time to build the ones I have already!

Looks like a cool kit.
But it's just a Ferrari.

Re: Tamiya 1/12 Enzo Ferrari..... Whats in the box... First Look
Here are a few more detailed pics for those interested.
The beautifully molded tyres, complete with Bridgestone logos and sidewall detail. Check out the size difference compared to the 1/24 Enzo tyres. Next up are the Vinyl seat faces, these fit onto styrene seat backs. They are nicely finished complete with stitch detail... as mentioned earlier you get a red pair and a salmon pink pair (these are called out in the instructions as brown??). They will need a very minor amount of careful clean up around the edges. Next up we take a look inside some of the metal parts bags. Screwdrivers, wheel nut socket, steering shaft, vinyl tubing, engine cover prop and flexible brake ducting. Various screws, metal brackets and magnets. More screws and metal exhaust tips. Front and rear suspension bell crank components. Suspension control arms and door hinge. More suspension components and second door hinge. The pre-assembled "dampers" that mesh with main door hinge for smooth operation. The main damper springs, door tension springs and various metal brackets. The small but concise decal sheet. Check out decal #25 ..... these are glass makers specs that go in the corner of each peice of glass on the car. dash, wheel centre and exhaust detail decals. Seatbelt, fender and nose cavallino's in 3D Small sheet of metal transfers for mirror faces, tail light reflectors and emblems. Group shot with window masks and printed seat belts. The basic but well done photo etch plate, all grilles including top of dash, pedal faces, footrest, toeboard and seat belt hardware. Wheels are nice and have rudimentry valve detail. ( I'll be stripping the plating and finishing in gloss silver, as well as adding RB motion valve stems) The massive monocoque.... this is going to takemany sheet of carbon fibre decals to finish properly. Of course we all know this kit is 1/12 scale and therefore quite large....... but check out the comparison with the 1/24 Enzo tub. Regards, Dan.

For what its worth..... that minute piece of text is less than 2mm long and can't be seen with the naked eye... are you really going to let it bother you?.... I know I certainly won't. But I did find it to be quite funny Regards, Dan
