If you make something to complicated, and people who are only beginning builders and they have a lot of difficulties building it, they will maybe lose their motivation .

and such complicated decorations, their will always be people who like it and people who want to do it another way.

i hope you understand a bit.

Thanks, Steven. I guess my question was mainly this--is there a way to make this kit *without* having to paint, clear, mask, clear again? Will the decals allow this?

I know my post above wasn't the clearest.

Re: 1/24 Peugeot S2000 / Fiesta S2000 - Belkits

It looks like a great kit and I'd love to build it. But the decal sheet has ruined it for me because all the main areas of colour are printed on the decal sheet. I have no problem with that, but to print the sponsor logos as integral with the coloured areas makes it nearly impossible for anyone that wants to paint certain areas of colour instead of using the decals. Main areas being the red on the rear wheel arches and the whole back end. I just can't see those decals wrapping around the rear bumper without creasing and/or wrinkling..?? I would have preferred to paint those areas instead and have the sponsor logos separate. I understand the need to make the kit easier to complete for beginners and such. But simply printing the sponsor logos separate from the main colours would have allowed the more experienced builders to paint if they wanted to. I'll reserve judgement until I see one built using the decals and hope I'm proved wrong about their ease of wrapping around all those complex curves and giving a good end result..

I agree with Steve. The justification to make decals in one piece is a mistake to me, I've never seen a decal sheet from any other manufacter like that. And, unfortunately, Renaissance is making decals in the same way. I hope an aftermarket like Studio27 or Shunko make this decals in a decent way.

Re: 1/24 Peugeot S2000 / Fiesta S2000 - Belkits

I understand the position of Belkits. Most buyers mount for the pure pleasure without great intentions to reach an assembly with rigor.

My only criticism goes to the openings of the windows in decal. A kit impeccably reproduced loses a bit of detail.

Looks like that you don't need to paint the car, you only need to apply the decals :-)

I think it's a REALLY cool way of doing it! Good on you, Pitwall! I'm excited about this set. Awesome.
