Gt/cs

WOW nothing more than a pony package for the GT. How unimpressive is this?

"snazzy racing stripes"

Leave it to Ford to figure a different way to put stripes on a GT and call it "SPECIAL". So who is going to buy this thing? Who are they making it for? Certainly not the mainstream 20 something Mustang market that's for sure! I can only assume it's aimed at female 45+ baby boomers - another car for the "empty nesters" - one for the wives of the GT500 buyers. Talk about a niche market!

You assume because you've done dedicated research?

Did you even read the info on the car? It doesn't look like it. There is NO added performance above the base GT!

Now tell me how many of the mainstream 20 something Mustang market are going to want to spend more money on a bunch of crap like stickers and non functional scoops? Especially when Ford is more than likely going to try and gouge people on the price to the tune of $5K by calling it "SPECIAL". Even the Hertz isn’t all that great in fact its nothing more than a marketing ploy. Hell you can order GT with the handling pack and power pack and it’s basically the same thing. There is nothing truly "SPECIAL" about these two cars.

Yes, I did read about the car on seriouswheels.com.

So who else do you think is going to buy this car? It’s not aimed at men in the 20-30 age range that are the typical Mustang enthusiast crowd that make up the majority of the GT owners. So tell me how many do you know that are in that group that would be willing to pay the additional price just for looks and no added performance. I know of none.
