87 olds delta 88

we have a 87 olds delta 88 with the 3.8 motor, it has 109,000 miles. When we purchased this car we were told it just needed a starter, well its alot more than that and we are NOW completely flustated and dont know what to do next. We have replaced plugs, wires, tps, cam sensor, crank sensore, idle air control valve, ecm, fuel pump twice, oil sending unit and have 40 lbs pressure on the fuel rail. What the problem is ...... it wont fire without starter fluid being shot into it. It will run and run great till you shut it off and it wont restart. Just dont know what else to look at or to possibly go from here. Oh we had the ignition control module tested and it is good as well....any and all advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Ok so 40 psi at the rail, do you have injector pulse when cranking?

Check the fuses look for bad connections, I assume you must have 12v to them key on or it wouldn't run at all, no?

Re: 87 olds delta 88

all fuses are good and so are the relays...we are thinkin the injectors themselves need taken out and cleaned or replaced completely. Could they be shot? could that be why they not pulsating? it will fire and run as long as u shoot starting fluid, shut it off and it wont restart at all without being shot again.

Do you have 12v to the injectors, I assume you checked the injectors for pulse with a "noid" lite? Disconnect the maf see what happens.
