If I ever go out that way I'll make sure to hit you guys up.
i actually have a buddy who lives in cali that im going to chill with out there this summer. he lives in oceanside around san diego, which is nowhere near portland. anyway, i wont have my car or anything and my buddy is...gasp...die hard DSM. drives a really nice gen 2 gsx...anyway, my point is i most likely will be spending at least a week on the west coast next summer, but not all that close to you. columbus is nice...if you want to get your ass snipered by some fucker while youre driving...

We should save this post for future reference.

And for your question. A B16 would be good for you. Or a B18B eventually turbo'd.

LOL...now that wouldn't make driving in Columbis very fun. Yea, unfortunatly, San Deigo isn't exactly close to Portland. I have family in LA, which is a heck of a lot closer to San Deigo than Portland is. I might visit some family down in cali next summer, but if I did, I am not sure if it would be the LA area of the San Fransico area, as I have family in both. If I end up visiting LA, it's not too far from San Deigo. I think we should all try to procure some passes to the 2004 SEMA show in Vegas (next november), and meet up there and go check it out. That'd be tight, I've always wanted to go to SEMA. They have some phat stuff to check out there. So your buddy's die hard DSM, huh? It could be worse, at least he still drives an import. Anyway's so you ever been out to the west coast? Last time I was down in San Deigo and LA was in summer 99, and San Fransico was before that, so I'm hoping to visit at least one of them this summer. Well, if you ever get down near Oregon/Washington let me know.

ANY responses to this question are accepted, lol i wont be an ass this time. You guys did help, i was just being stubborn cause i didnt know.
It's all good. I am glad I could help. Well, an LS (B18B1) is a great motor for turbo apps. It can handle upwards of 12psi on a stock block when properly tuned. Also, if you get an LS and want to go n/a, you could LS/Vtec (ls block, vtec head, like b16a) it if you know anyone or a shop that knows how to vtec an ls. It's not terribly hard, but like anything, someone without experience could botch it up. A B16A is a good for n/a apps.

That'd be nice. I had thread on Wet Sleeves versus Dry Sleeves awhile ago that would have been a great thread to sticky also. A mod would have to make this sticky though to really save it for easy access though.
